January 2007 Update
Dear COACH:

As an Ontario Coach, you may be interested in attending the ONTARIO COACHES CONFERENCE to further your NCCP education goals, meet coaches from other sports or just escape the winter blahs and renew and become inspired again about coaching.

When:  February 22-25, 2007
Where: Toronto (Don Valley & Eglinton) at the Crowne-Plaza Hotel

Cost:   Subsidized by the Quest for Gold Lottery the Conference Fee is $25 + $88 for the weekend meal plan & accommodation if required.   Only open to Ontario coaches.

'Al a carte' options to attend only a few of the Workshops offered or just the Saturday night Awards Banquet  are also available.

Sports that will be offering either a Level 2 or Level 3 NCCP Technical workshop include:   Volleyball, Basketball, Rugby, Boxing, Rowing, Lacrosse, Water Polo, Judo and Cycling.   Check with your sport for prerequisite certification or eligiblity for these workshops.

For multi-sport, Level 3 Theory and Task 19 will be also be offered to Level 2 certified.  Task 19 is part of the Level 4 curriculum.Conference fee includes NCCP manuals and certification fees.

In between the NCCP workshops throughout the weekend we have a number of special guest speakers and exciting Keynote presentations including ...

* Alex Baumann, Road to Excellence Program, Canadian Olympic Committee
* Dick Pound, Chairman of WADA and advocate on ethics in sport and coaching
* Sheilagh Croxon, coach of the 2000 bronze medal winning synchronized swimming team
* Dr. Greg Gannon, sport scientist, Canadian Sport Centre Ontario
* Dr. Robert Schinke, Sport Psychologist from Laurentian University

On Saturday evening - conference delegates will be entertained by Barrie Shepley during the banquet for the Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards presented to various deserving coaches across Ontario.

Although Conference Registration extends until February 16, spaces in workshops are filling up and  hotel accommodations are also in high demand - so do not delay to be disappointed.
