Coaching Update

A reminder that it is in EVERYONE'S best interest to ensure you have all 3 components completed of your Level 1, 2, 3.

Boxing Ontario will be moving to the new CBET program beginning June 1, 2009. Unfinished coaching levels will be subject to additional courses taken to complete your level-which could come at a higher cost than the program is now.

 

So in the Old NCCP:

 

Level 1

 

Theory (now known as Introduction to Competition A) is delivered by the Coaches Association of Ontario

Technical – Delivered by Boxing Ontario. Next Course: NO MORE AVAILABLE

 

Practical – To obtain this accreditation you must have in this order:

a)       Your theory and technical

b)      Be registered for 2009 with Boxing Ontario

c)       Have been registered as a coach with Boxing Ontario for at least 1 year

d)      A declaration from your club coach testifying to your active coaching status in as much detail as possible.

 

Level 2

 

Theory - (now known as Introduction to Competition B) is delivered by the Coaches Association of Ontario http://www.coachesontario.ca/content/view/121/168/

 

Technical – Delivered by Boxing Ontario. Next course: **LAST ONE May 23/24, 2009 Motor City Boxing Club, Oshawa $250 LAST ONE**. Contact me if interested.

 

Practical - To obtain this accreditation you must have in this order:

a)       Your theory and technical

b)      Be registered for 2009 with Boxing Ontario

c)       Have been registered as a coach with Boxing Ontario for at least 3 years (of which the last two are consecutive) eg. 2002, 2008,2009

d)      A declaration from your club coach testifying to your active coaching status in as much detail as possible.

 

Level 3

 

Theory – (is now Competition Development: 6 Modules) delivered by Coaches Association of Ontario http://www.coachesontario.ca/content/view/121/168/

 

Technical – Delivered by Boxing Ontario Next Course: NO MORE AVAILABLE

 

Practical - To obtain this accreditation you must have in this order:

a)       Your theory and technical

b)      Be registered for 2009 with Boxing Ontario

c)       Have been registered as a coach with Boxing Ontario for at least 5 years (of which the last two are consecutive) eg. 2002,2004, 2005, 2008,2009

d)      A declaration from your club coach testifying to your active coaching status in as much detail as possible.

 

NB-Only Levels that are COMPLETE will be recognized in the new program.
