Purpose Of Position:
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the formation and assist development of Ontario boxing clubs, especially in aboriginal, lower-income and Northern communities, in areas of education, capacity-building and coach development.
Key Accountabilities:
· Leads the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the Boxing Ontario club development program (Trillium project).
· Manage creation of Boxing Ontario club development program through liaison with other reference organizations, work with experts, curriculum design, development of train-the-trainer program, and coordination of training and outreach.
· Manage organization recruitment and participation, audit results, and education for club Executives, coaches etc to improve skills and attain accreditation.
· Manage accreditation and promotion of accredited clubs on the web site.
· Planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education events including conferences, workshops, training sessions etc. This includes the selection of the sites, communication/coordination of speakers, event promotion including the design of promotional materials.
· Provides administrative and technical support for the project.
· Responsible for data management related to the project, includes contact lists, advisory groups, etc.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Liaison with members of partner organizations (e.g. Ont Aboriginal Sport Council, Boxing Canada). Liaison with other provincial and national organizations working in the area of community club development (e.g. True Sport). |

Decision Making Responsibility:
Assists in the development and implementation of community sport organizations including scheduling events, booking facilities, contacting speakers. Ensures events operate on-budget. Purchase supplies and printing materials as required, not to exceed $500.

Knowledge: |

Experience: |
Minimum of 2 years combination of experience and education. Direct experience in sport club development and management. Experience in management of provincial and/or national sport organizations preferred. |
|
Skills: |
Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software packages. Strong customer service focus, good organizational and interpersonal skills to work in an independent and team environment. Group facilitation and leadership skills. |
Working Environment:
Office environment. Travels as needed to present programs at meetings, conferences, etc.
